Ask yourself these questions:
Does my net worth, including insurance proceeds, IRAs, and 401(k) plans exceed $1,000,000?
Do I have heirs who might not handle an inheritance responsibly?
Do I own real estate located in another state?
Do I have minor children and am I divorced or in a step-family household?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you probably need a trust.
